Jawahar Kala Kendra Jaipur

The Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur is dedicated to Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the country’s first prime minister after Independence. The importance of arts and crafts is linked to the city of Jaipur’s center of attraction. The attraction showcases India’s rich heritage, arts and crafts was built to encourage Rajasthani cultural and traditional values.

History of Jawahar Kala Kendra –

Charles Correa the late architect from MIT, created and built the Jawahar Kala Kendra in 1986. The structure was finished in 1991 and was built using the “Navagraha” design, often known as the nine-house mandala. The Rajasthani government commissioned the centre’s construction and in 1993 opened it to art and culture lovers.
