History of Jawahar Kala Kendra –
Charles Correa the late architect from MIT, created and built the Jawahar Kala Kendra in 1986. The structure was finished in 1991 and was built using the “Navagraha” design, often known as the nine-house mandala. The Rajasthani government commissioned the centre’s construction and in 1993 opened it to art and culture lovers.
